We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Colossians 1:3
A thankful attitude while praying as mentioned in this verse, will inevitably encourage another brother or sister in the Lord.
If we are truly taking the time to pray for one another and being thankful to the Lord for another person’s faith & love, then we should let the person know that we bring their names before the Lord with thankful hearts. The thought that someone cared enough to pray for me to the One who holds the universe in His hands is extremely comforting and motivating. The importance of prayer while having a thankful spirit can never be overestimated and the impact on the other saints at your assembly will have immediate and eternal benefits! When is the last time you told another saint that you’ve thanked God for them?
