Song of the Week: Good Good Father

Aug 25 Tags: SOTW | 3 Responses Print Save as PDF

The Bible is very clear that the Father is good and he gives good gifts. We often forget how much he loves us and cares for us. It’s who he is!

I’ve heard a thousand stories
Of what they think You’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whisper
Of love in the dead of night
You tell me that You’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

Chorus
You’re a Good Good Father
It’s who You are
It’s who You are
It’s who You are
And I’m loved by You
It’s who I am
It’s who I am
It’s who I am

I’ve seen many searching for answers
Far and wide
But I know we’re all searching for answers
Only You provide
Because You know just what we need
Before we say a word

Bridge
You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways to us

Love so undeniable I can hardly speak
Peace so unexplainable I can hardly think
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still
Into love love love

This week’s song of the week is most disappointing. Fluff! There are more worthwhile songs to be shared that would teach deep truth and be an encouragement.

      Hi Ena,
While I agree that perhaps this song is not as “deep” as other songs, I personally find it very encouraging and a great reminder of the goodness of God. So often we are caught up in theological discussions and forget the very simple truths. Everyone is at a different place in their spiritual walk and different things will speak to their hearts. I’ve been a believer for 39 years now and sometimes even “Jesus Loves Me this I know” is exactly what I need to hear to draw my heart to the Lord.

Thank you so much for your feedback and I hope that you enjoy our next selection 🙂

Serious question, what’s fluffy about it?

Side note: Hi Ena! It’s been a long time. 🙂 (Equip from the 90s)
