STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • The Bible is the Inspired Word of God and is the final and ONLY infallible authority for our faith, conduct, and worship. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
  • God is One yet has three distinct person that are equal and share all the same attributes: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God and, by the Virgin Birth, became man in order to become the Savior of mankind. Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:35, John 1:1, John 1:14
  • The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins by His redemptive work on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day; that He ascended into heaven to sit on God’s right hand. Romans 3:26-26, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Romans 8:34
  • That salvation is by the grace of God alone, on the basis of the atoning Sacrifice of Christ, and wholly apart from any human merit. Ephesians 2:8-9
  • The Saved are eternally secure beginning at the moment of salvation. John 5:24, John 6:39-40, John 10:27-30, 1 John 5:13
  • That God commands all people to repent and to believe the gospel. This is a choice of each individual and is not pre-determined by God. Mark 1:15, Luke 13:3-5, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19
  • There is one Church, which is the Body of Christ. All true believers are members of this Body, Christ Himself being the only Head. Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:4, Ephesians 5:23
  • The Church is governed by the Lord as the chief shepherd and the Holy Spirit raises up elders as under-shepherds to guide the flock and give spiritual leadership 1 Peter 5:1-4, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9 .  We believe this work should be done by a group or elders in each church along with a group of deacons who look after the practical needs of the church. 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
  • There are two ordinances, neither of which is essential to salvation, that are to be observed until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ:
    1. Believers Baptism by immersion. Acts 2:41, Acts 8:12
    2. Weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper. Acts 2:42, Acts 2:46
  • In the local Church, the Lord’s people find rest, refreshment, and edification. Hebrews 10:15, Acts 2:42
  • The Lord’s Return will be premillennial, personal, and visible; that the righteous shall inherit eternal life, but the wicked and unbelieving will ultimately be cast into outer darkness. Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 8:12
