To desire revival…and at the same time to neglect (personal) prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another. ~ A.W. Tozer
We preach and teach the importance of prayer and yet how much do we really commit to it? A number of people have been burdened about getting believers together to pray. A week of prayer is scheduled for May 18-22, 2015.
“During the North American Week of Prayer, we are inviting burdened saints from across the continent to come together to seek the face of God for spiritual revival from the apathy and decline that is so evident among us. Each prayer session will be introduced by a short devotional or exhortation on prayer, and then we will get down to the main business of the conference, that of praying.”
“Issues on our hearts include revival in assemblies, families, and individuals; a renewed zeal for the Gospel; and a general awakening among the lost. We believe New Testament principles without New Testament power is the cause of our weakness.”
Much of the conference will be in a corporate setting (everyone together in one room), with men leading in prayer. We envision that some of the afternoon sessions will be in a small group format, in which sisters will have the opportunity to pray together if they wish. We wholeheartedly encourage our sisters to attend this conference! Many of history’s revivals have been profoundly impacted by the prayers of women.
